Le groupe Desfor and its affiliated companies is a well-established engineering-consulting firm in the province of Quebec, with experts in the fields of environment, forestry, geomatics and civil engineering. We have branches all around the province and we are now looking for a photo-interpreter for our Quebec Head Office.
Reporting to the Forestry Manager, the candidate will be in charge of various photo-interpretation projects:
JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSABILITÉS
- Perform the photo-interpretation of forest lands according to our clients technical and normative specifications. To this end, the candidate must be certified by the MFFP for Category 1, 2 or 3 projects.
- Perform inventory surveys and participate to various types of forest surveys.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- At least 3 years of experience in forest surveys and photo-interpretation (NAIPF technique).
- Certification with the MFFP for mapping and photo-interpretation works.
- Knowledge and expertise of forest environments.
- Knowledge of office and GIS database software.
REQUIRED QUALITIES
- Team work, punctuality, assiduity, thorough, priority management.
- Sense of thoroughness for the analysis of images and creation of mapping files.
